Challenges

Uneven and sloped land with no way to get down from the back door and no privacy.

Opportunities

Added a deck from the back door, built retaining walls to create level and safe walkways along the sloped side of the house, planted trees and perennials, and installed a metal railing and wooden fence around the property.

Challenges

Difficulty walking up to the house due to the large slope and no curb appeal.

Opportunities

Built a retaining wall for a safe level paver walkway to the front entrance, planted along the borders and in front of the retaining wall to soften the brickwork and improve the curb appeal.

Challenges

No place to site and enjoy the back yard, no privacy, and not an inviting space.

Opportunities

Added a patio below the deck sheltered from the rain, patio in the backyard with a water feature and firepit and night lighting to extend the use of the space into the evenings.

Introduced even steps, a patio, fireplace, hot tub, ornamental garden & herb garden, and night lighting to enjoy the space into the evenings for safe passage up and down the stairs.
